THE POSITION
A number of positions are available throughout our organization for summer students. All students and returning students that meet the criteria listed below are invited to submit their resume for summer student positions available including office & program administration, health & family services, emergency childcare, information technology, employment & training, human resources, youth program workers and Cress Housing maintenance.
Qualifications
- Currently registered as a student for the 2024-25 academic year in a secondary, post-secondary, vocational or technical program (documentation required).
- Intention to return to school for the next 2024-25 academic year. Some positions may qualify for summer term positions for students successfully completing their education program.
- Some positions may require age requirements (15-30 years old) according to funding agreements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
- Must provide a current Canadian Criminal Records Check (CPIC) and some positions may require vulnerable sector check.
- A valid driver’s license (class 5) may be required for some positions and must meet STC’s insurance requirements.
- MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK FLEXIBLE SHIFTS (some positions may be scheduled for evenings &/or weekends).
Salary Range: $17.85 To 20.41 Hourly.
