On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Saskatoon Tribal  Council hosted a one-day Pow Wow which drew thousands of people to Sasktel Centre. The Pow Wow honoured the survivors of the residential school system and many of those survivors were in attendance. It also honoured those that never came home.

Cameco, BHP, and the Saskatoon Blades were major contributors to the day, and in appreciation, for their support, each organization was presented with a Star blanket to commemorate the day.

Tribal Chief Mark Arcand also presented Saskatoon May Charlie Clark with an eagle feather in recognition of the efforts Saskatoon city council is making towards reconciliation. The presentation of the eagle feather is the highest honour among First Nations people.

The incredible day ended with a free concert featuring Kyle McKearney and George Canyon.
