The Position
This position will transition from Manager In-Training to the full working level of Manager, Home & Community Care through a planned succession process related to a retirement anticipated in December 2027. The successful candidate will work alongside the current Home & Community Care Manager and receive approximately one year of training, mentorship, and support to ensure a successful transition into the role. During the training period, the Manager In-Training will be supervised by the current Home & Community Care Manager.
The Home & Community Care Program Manager participates as a member of the management team providing second level support, advice, and program direction and coordination to the STC First Nation members.
The Home Care Manager plays a key leadership role in supporting the health and well-being of community members by overseeing the delivery of culturally safe, respectful, and holistic home and community care services.
The HCC Program Manager provides clinical supervision; program support to the member First Nations; collection, analyzation, interpretation and evaluation of program data as well as completion of reports to funding agencies and relevant working committees/partnerships within STC, as well as regionally and federally.
The Home Care Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and delivery of home and community care services. This includes ensuring high-quality client care, advocacy, and maintaining compliance with all relevant health regulations and cultural protocols. The manager works collaboratively with health professionals, families, and community stakeholders to ensure services are responsive to the physical, emotional, and cultural needs of clients.
