“Every Child Matters” – In Honour of Reconciliation Pow Wow 2024

An accessible drop-off area is located at the south entrance to SaskTel Centre for those with limited mobility. Vehicles will access the drop-off area, then exit to regular parking.

General information

  • Grand entries will take place Sunday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Monday at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Guests, dancers, vendors and all others entering SaskTel Centre are subject to security screening, including the use of metal detectors and searches of bags and any other containers.
  • No drugs, alcohol, weapons, or outside food and drink are permitted.
  • A drop-off area for people with limited mobility is located at the south doors at concourse level. Vehicles must proceed to regular parking after guests have been dropped off.
  • Everyone attending is encouraged to wear red on Sunday and to wear orange on Monday.

Dancers

  • Registration Contact: Mary Wall 306-380-3304
  • Registration times:   9 a.m. – 7 p.m.  (Sunday, Sept. 29)
    10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Monday, Sept. 30)
  • Dancers must be active participants in the powwow to take part in specials.
  • Dancers are to enter via the main (Cruz FM) doors nearest the Fred Sasakamoose statue outside SaskTel Centre and exit via doors nearest the Gordie Howe statue (Affinity Credit Union).
  • Dancers will be asked to sign a release form allowing the Saskatoon Tribal Council to use their photos on social media.

*Dancers will be placed in the following age categories:

Tiny Tots           6 and Under

Junior                7 – 12

Teens                13 – 17

Adult                  18 – 54

Golden Age        55+

Vendors

  • Vendors are to access the facility through the main doors. Load-in is at 9 a.m  and load-out time is at 11 p.m. (*Please arrive early to ensure enough time to get through security checks.)
  •  Vendors are limited to the provided one table and two chairs each.
  • Vendors must provide a description of items they plan to sell. Sales of drug paraphernalia or items with gang symbols are not permitted.
  • Vendors can distribute information and sell approved merchandise only: No food sales and no taking of job applications.
  • A $300 fee is due by Sept. 20. Spots for vendors who have not submitted their fees will be made available to others on the waiting list.

  • Volunteers must submit a valid criminal record check from within the last six months to be considered.
  • Volunteer orientation is on Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. at SaskTel Centre
