The 2022 “Drive for Kids Campaign” will directly benefit Saskatoon Tribal Council programs. The sold-out golf event, dinner and celebrity auction will see the proceeds go directly to purchasing two new health vans for the STC. These vans will attend inner city schools helping children struggling with mental health issues.

The event was put on by Synergy 8 Community Builders with PGA Tour star Mackenzie Hughes along with Stanley Cup Champion goalie Darcy Kuemper and Saskatchewan Roughriders Quarterback Cody Fajardo adding star power to the day.

STC Tribal Chief Mark Arcand announced that BHP had donated $100,000 to the initiative at the event.

Fox sports co-host Taylor Cusack along with local comedian Kelly Taylor moderated a round table discussion with Kuemper and Hughes adding a number of great insightful stories from the Stanley Cup playoffs and PGA Tour.

This year’s event adds to the success achieved in 2021. Last year the campaign raised enough funds to purchase a mobile health bus. In the first year of operation, the bus treated 693 mental health patients (including 78 classroom presentations) and 252 dental patients.
